2. Buy Local: The Buy Local Challenge ends today. The challenge encourages Marylanders to purchase locally grown food, locally bottled wine and beer — basically any product created here in the Free State. Here are details.

3. Advocates: Montgomery County’s Community Action Board is accepting applications for its Community Advocacy Institute.

4. Music: The Sons of Pirates will perform their Jimmy Buffet style music from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. On the Rio Washingtonian patio near the paddle boats.

5. Race: Cyclists can race around Montgomery Park’s pump track at Fairview Road Urban Park from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
