Five Things to Know for June 6 in Montgomery County

Here are five things to know for Wednesday, June 6, in Montgomery County:

1. Brown Station Elementary School Dedication: Mayor Jud Ashman will join students and staff at Brown Station Elementary School in Gaithersburg for a dedication and awards ceremony at 9:30 a.m. in the new school building.

2. Use of Public Facilities Public Forum: The Community Use of Public Facilities will host a public forum on high volume priority use of public facilities tonight at 7 p.m. in the Executive Office Building Auditorium, located at 101 Monroe Street in Rockville. Participants will have the chance to discuss a new and improved process for use of public schools by high-volume community user groups.

3. US 29 South BRT Corridor Advisory Committee: CAC will hold its regularly scheduled meeting for the US 29 bus rapid transit (BRT) project in Silver Spring this evening. MCDOT’s project manager for the US 29 Mobility and Reliability Study will attend and provide an overview of the study scope and schedule.
