Here are five things to know for Friday, June 22, in Montgomery County.

2. Councilmember for a Day Challenge: Councilmember Craig Rice extends the deadline to submit an application to his ‘Councilmember for a Day‘ contest to July 16.

3. Robotics Presentation: Members of the Maryland Robotics Center will demonstrate various bio-inspired robots today at Rockville Library from 6 to 7 p.m. This program is appropriate for youth ages 10 and up and their families.

4. Heritage Days Festival: This countywide festival celebrates the culture and history of Montgomery County with over 40 free events. On Saturday, June 23 and Sunday, June 24, Montgomery County’s parks and farms will offer tours and activities for families to explore the county’s past. 5. Musical Revue:  Support the NIH Patient Emergency Fund while enjoying Bethesda Little Theatre’s musical “A Swellegant, Elegant Party.”  Six performance including tonight’s at 8 p.m. at Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center in Silver Spring.
