Here are five things to know for Tuesday, April 10, in Montgomery County:

1. American Promise: Montgomery Community Media presents “The American Promise: Immigration in Montgomery County,” from 7 to 8:15 p.m. The panel discussion, hosted by author and journalist Steve Roberts, features Frank Islam, Remeberto Rodriguez, and Ola Sage. 2. Honoring Sexual Assault Survivors: In honor of National Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Montgomery County’s Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) will honor sexual assault victims during an event titled, “An Evening to Listen and Learn,” from 6 – 8 p.m.

3. Extraordinary Minds: The Partnership for Extraordinary Minds will hold its annual “Extraordinary Minds in MCPS” forum to inform parents about public school placements and services for students across the autism spectrum in the county.

4. Equal Pay Day Proclamation: Montgomery County Council Vice President Nancy Navarro and Montgomery County Councilmember Nancy Floreen will present a proclamation recognizing Equal Pay Day during the council’s regular scheduled session. Here’s the agenda.
