Extra Bus Nearing Ridership Targets, Ride On Says
The bus meant to ease commutes along Md. 355 appears to be nearing its transit targets, a Ride On spokeswoman said.
For the first three months of trekking up and down the thoroughfare, Ride On’s extRa bus has had 1,700-a-day riders in October, 1,600-a-day in November and 1,500-a-day in December, Esther Bowring said in an email.
Ride On had projected that Bus 101 would be attracting between 1,600 and 1,700 riders each month, she said.
The bus offers extra amenities: wi-fi, USB ports and information screens.
And it has only 12 stops from the Lake Forest Transit Center in Gaithersburg to the Medical Center Metro Center in Bethesda. That’s normally 80 stops on other Ride On buses that take Md. 355. For more information about the extRa bus, here is Ride On’s web page on the service.

Hi — had a question: could you clarify the following statement ?
“Ride On had projected that Bus 101 would be attracting between 1,600 and 1,700 riders each month, she said.”
I’m assuming it meant 1600 to 1700 riders each DAY (rather than month)??
