Early Voting Centers Under Review in Montgomery County
The Montgomery County Board of Elections is now reviewing proposed recommendations for early voting centers in the 2018 gubernatorial election and your input is wanted. The BOE is planning to add an 11th early voting location for next year’s election.
Right now, all the proposed early voting sites are under review, including: the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, the Germantown Recreation Center, the Longwood Community Recreation Center, the Potomac Community Recreation Center, the Westfield Wheaton Mall, the Bauer Drive Community Recreation Center, the Damascus Community Recreation Center, the Executive Office Building, the Gwendolyn E. Coffield Community Recreation Center, the Jane E. Lawton Community Recreation Center, the Long Branch Community Recreation Center (alternate), the Marilyn Praisner Community Recreation Center, the Nancy H. Dacek North Potomac Community Recreation Center, the Potomac Community Recreation Center, the Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department, the Silver Spring Civic Building, the UpCounty Community Recreation Center (alternate), and the White Oak Community Recreation Center.
If you have a suggestion for another site, you are asked to email it to the Board.
The Board of Elections is accepting comments on the site at its upcoming meetings on June 19, July 17 and Sept. 18. Find out more about that process and where to email your comments in writing, here.
The 2018 Gubernatorial Primary Election is set for June 26, 2018. Early voting takes place for one week, from June 14 – June 21, 2018.
