Dr. Earl Stoddard: ‘We’re Certainly Seeing Flooding in Places We Haven’t Typically Seen It’
With the recent unprecedented fatal flood that happened in Rockville on Wednesday due to remnants of Hurricane Ida, some residents might wonder what areas throughout Montgomery County are prone to flooding.
County Office of Emergency Management Director Dr. Earl Stoddard says places that didn’t typically flood before are starting too, and it’s partially due to climate change.
Dr. Stoddard explains what the county has planned to help project future flood problem areas.
The Montgomery County government website has a list of some roads that could be affected by high water due to heavy rainfall.
