The Montgomery County Department of Liquor Control (DLC) has opened a new store at 300 North Washington Street in Rockville.

According to a news release, the nearly 8,000 square feet store features wide aisles, modern fixtures, energy efficient lighting and free parking.

Highlights include:

• A “Highly Rated” wine section with displays of wines rated at least 90 points by raters such as Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast.
• Selections from barrels purchased only for Montgomery County from Woodford Reserve, Jack Daniels, and Breckenridge.
• A “Local” section to highlight wine and spirits produced in Maryland and surrounding states.

DLC is welcoming customers by celebrating the opening of this new store with giveaways of food and wine pairing wheels, beverage openers, corkscrews, wine gift bags, and more while supplies last.

The store is open Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. and from noon – 6 p.m. on Sundays.
