Detectives Release Surveillance Photographs in Dec. 29 Bank Robbery in Leisure World

Montgomery County Police detectives investigating a Dec. 29 bank robbery in Leisure World, and they released surveillance photos Thursday in hopes that someone can identify the perpetrators.

The robbery occurred about 1:30 p.m. at the Wells Fargo bank at 3852 International Drive, a police statement said. Wheaton District investigators discovered one of the culprits entered the bank and handed a note to the teller that demanded money, police said.

The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.

Anyone with information about the bank robbery is asked to call the police Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.  To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).

Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest or indictment.  Tipsters will remain anonymous.
