Detectives Investigate Shots Fired in Germantown Neighborhood
Montgomery County Police are investigating a report of multiple gunshots fired on Thursday at midnight in a Germantown neighborhood. No injuries were reported, and detectives do not believe that this was a random incident.
Officers responded to Summer Oak Drive for the report of a possible shooting. During the investigation, officers located evidence of shots fired, including spent shell casings and multiple damaged vehicles nearby on the 18700 block of Curry Powder Lane.
Police say this investigation remains ongoing. Investigators ask homeowners in the area to review their surveillance camera footage from that evening and contact police if their camera captured anything regarding this investigation.
Anyone with information regarding this incident or the suspects involved is also asked to call 5th District investigators at 240-773-6245. Crime Solvers may pay a cash reward for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
