Detectives Investigate Shooting in Gaithersburg; Teen Victim in Stable Condition
An investigation is underway after a teenager was shot in Gaithersburg on Saturday night.
Officers from both Gaithersburg Police and Montgomery County Police Department responded to the area of 22 Montgomery Village Avenue around 10:00 p.m. after receiving multiple reports of a shooting. According to a press release, a 19-year-old male was found in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries but is in stable condition, police say.
At this time, detectives say this incident does not appear to be random. The victim’s identity has not been released.
