Thefts From Vehicles Summary:
Rockville District
Two thefts from vehicles occurred between about 4 p.m. Dec. 2 and about 1 p.m. Dec. 3. One theft occurred in the 12100 block of Devilwood Drive and one theft occurred in the 13500 block of Hayworth Drive. No force; property was taken.
Bethesda District
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Nov. 28 and Dec. 3. Affected streets included Woodmont and Wisconsin avenues, Cheltenham Drive, Bethesda Metro Center, and Chestnut Street. Force; property was taken.
Four thefts from vehicles occurred in the 6400 block of Goldsboro Road between about 5:45 p.m. and about 6 p.m. Nov. 30. Force was reported in one event; cash and property were taken.
Three thefts from vehicles occurred between about 2:40 p.m. and about 5:05 p.m. Nov. 30. Two thefts occurred in the 5600 block of Beech Avenue and one theft occurred in the 9500 block of Old Georgetown Road. Force was reported in two events; cash and property were taken.
Silver Spring District
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred during this reporting period. Affected streets included Brunswick, Dartmouth, Flower and Gardiner avenues; and Normandy, Conover, and Ellsworth drives. Force was reported in two events; cash and property were taken.
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Nov. 29 and Dec. 2. Affected streets included Columbia Pike, Castle Boulevard, Briarcliff Manor Way, and Blackburn Road. Force was reported in one event; cash and property were taken.
Wheaton District
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Dec. 2 and Dec. 5. Affected streets included Bauer, Woodcrest and Butternut drives; Barkwood Court; Barkwood Place; and Bel Pre, Great Oak and Westbury roads. No force; cash and property were taken.
Three thefts from vehicles occurred between Nov. 27 and Nov. 29. Affected streets included Crystal Hill Circle, Amaranth Drive, and Walnut Creek Court. No force; cash and property were taken.
Police arrested a 22-year-old Germantown man for the Walnut Creek Court theft. Officers also seek another man between the ages of 18 and 25.
Montgomery Village District
Two thefts from vehicles occurred between about 7 p.m. Dec. 2 and about 1:34 a.m. Dec. 3. One theft occurred in the 100 block of Spring Street and one theft occurred in the 100 block of Misty Dale Way. No force; cash and property were taken.
Police arrested a 21-year-old Gaithersburg man for the Misty Dale Way theft.
Two thefts from vehicles occurred between Nov. 27 and Nov. 29. One theft occurred in the 100 block of Landsend Drive and one theft occurred in the 900 block of Clopper Road. No force; cash and vehicle parts were taken.

An attempted commercial burglary occurred at 220 Volt Appliances & Electronics store at 5465 Randolph Road about 9:31 p.m. Dec. 4.
Bethesda District:
An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 7300 block of Connecticut Avenue between about 8 a.m. and about 3:20 p.m. Nov. 30.
A man displayed a weapon, assaulted another man, and tried to take his cash and property. The attempted armed robbery occurred near Rockville Pike and Nicholson Lane about 9:30 p.m. Nov. 29. The
Silver Spring:
Two men assaulted and robbed a man inside the parking garage at Cameron Street and Second Avenue about 3:49 p.m. Dec. 3. One culprit was between the ages of 20 and 25. No description for the other perpetrator.
An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 6600 block of Allegheny Avenue in the early morning hours of Nov. 30.
A residential burglary occurred in the 11200 block of Legato Way between about 7 a.m. and about 6:24 p.m. Nov. 27. Forced entry; property was taken.
Police seek two men for a commercial armed robbery that occurred at the Safeway at 116 University Blvd. West in the early morning hours of Dec. 1. One man displayed a weapon. The culprits stole property from a man who worked there and stole cash from the business.
An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 1200 block of LeGrande Road between about 7 p.m. on Dec. 3 and about 4:15 p.m. on Dec. 4.
A man — police offered no description — burgled the Sears at 11255 New Hampshire Ave. in the early morning hours of Nov. 30. No signs of forced entry, a door was reported to have been left unlocked; nothing was taken.
A residential burglary occurred in the 11600 block of Lockwood Drive between about 8:30 a.m. and about 11:55 p.m. Dec. 1. Forced entry; property was taken.
A residential burglary occurred in the 3300 block of Teagarden Circle between about 9 a.m. Dec. 3 and about 11 a.m. Dec. 4. Forced entry; nothing was taken.
Wheaton District:
Three men tried to rob another man in the 1900 block of Randolph Road in the early morning hours of Dec. 4. Two culprits displayed weapons and tried to take cash and property from the victim.
A woman tried to burgle a home in the 3300 block of Niles Street in the early morning hours of Dec. 1. No signs of forced entry; nothing was taken.
A vehicle theft occurred in the 14400 block of Woodcrest Drive between about 6:36 p.m. and about 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 3. Unknown entry.
Three or four men committed an aggravated assault in the area of Newton Street and Grandview Avenue in the early morning hours of Dec. 4. The men assaulted another man.
A 46-year-old man, who has an unconfirmed address, has been charged with aggravated assault for an incident that occurred in the 11100 block of Georgia Avenue about 11:08 p.m. Nov. 30. The man displayed a weapon and assaulted another man.
Germantown District:
A residential burglary occurred in the 19600 block of Gunners Branch Road between about 8:45 a.m. and about 5:45 p.m. Nov. 29. Forced entry; property was taken.
A woman, about age 25, committed a commercial armed robbery occurred at the Popeyes restaurant at 19911 Frederick Road about 1:23 p.m. Dec. 2. The suspect displayed a weapon and took food.
An attempted commercial burglary occurred at Ruppert Landscape at 23601 Laytonsville Road between about 9:30 p.m. Nov. 28 and about 6:30 a.m. Nov. 29.
A residential burglary occurred in the 13500 block of Duhart Road between about 6:30 a.m. and about 9 p.m. Nov. 28. Forced entry; property was taken.
A commercial burglary occurred at the Johnny Rockets restaurant at 22705 Clarksburg Road between about 9:50 p.m. Dec. 2 and about 9:30 a.m. Dec. 3. No signs of forced entry, a door was reported to have been left unlocked; cash was taken.
Montgomery Village:
Two men, between 17 and 20 years old, committed a strong-arm robbery in the 9900 block of Lake Landing Road about 1:42 p.m. Dec. 1. The men assaulted another man and took his property.
A residential burglary occurred in the 17300 block of Founders Mill Drive between about 7:10 a.m. and about 8:30 p.m. Nov. 30. Forced entry; property was taken.
A commercial burglary occurred at the Verizon store at 7250 Muncaster Mill Road between about 8 p.m. Dec. 1 and about 6 a.m. Dec. 2. Forced entry; property was taken.
