County’s 32nd Annual Community Service Week Set for Oct. 21-28

Community Service Week is just days away and Montgomery County residents are invited to give a few hours of their time to join the annual celebration of community service by volunteering for one or more of the many service projects.

Montgomery County’s 32nd annual Community Service Week is scheduled for Oct. 21-28.

The week begins with a weekend food drive for Manna at all Giant Food stores Saturday,Oct. 20 and Sunday, Oct. 21. Click here to learn more and to volunteer at one of the drives.

This year’s activities include opportunities to clean up streams and parks, collect canned goods for needy families, clean up a historic cemetery and paint storm drains with art and environmental messages. Many of the projects are preapproved for student service learning hours.
