County Under Flash Flood Watch
The National Weather Service has announced Montgomery County under a Flash Flood Watch from Thursday afternoon until Friday morning.
The county tweeted to be mindful of rain that may cause flooding in the next 24 hours.
The National Weather Service released a Hazardous Weather Outlook that includes warnings for central and southeast Montgomery County.
The forecast for this afternoon and evening predicts a possible severe storm with strong wind in the Washington and Baltimore Metropolitan areas.
Areas near and east of Interstate 95 are under a Flash Flood Watch from this afternoon through tonight.
Additionally, the forecast predicts possible severe storms Friday afternoon and evening as well as on Sunday and Monday. Accompanying strong winds pose the greatest hazard.
