County Has ‘Stocked Up’ on PPE Since the Spring

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in the spring, there was a shortage of Personal Protective Equipment in Montgomery County. But eight months later after stocking up on face masks, gloves, and sanitizer, the county is much better equipped, according to County Executive Marc Elrich.

Elrich says local testing efforts have also ramped up and are among the highest in the state. On Wednesday he explained decisions made to strengthen the county amid the health crisis which is now in its ninth month.
