County Council Approves Dorfman as Director of DLC (VIDEO)
It’s official. At Tuesday’s meeting, Montgomery County Council members approved Robert Dorfman’s appointment as director of the Department of Liquor Control (DLC).
Dorfman, a North Potomac resident, was appointed to the position by County Executive Ike Leggett.
In his new position, Dorfman will be paid an annual salary of $220,000. His appointment is effective immediately.
“I have to go to work,” Dorfman said minutes after the Council’s confirmation. “It’s getting down to business, starting to work on the priorities that we have set. Customer service being number one. Working on the infrastructure [is] number two. Making sure we have the processes and systems in place, and the right people in place and making sure our retail stores look like they ought to in the 21st century from a customer service standpoint. Those are the priorities, at least initially, and that’s what I am headed off to do.”
