County ‘Confident’ Mass Vaccination Site Will Begin Operating by April 1

Local leaders announced this week that a mass vaccination site is expected to open in Montgomery County soon. It will be located at the Montgomery College Germantown Campus, and health officials say they are preparing how it will operate once more much-needed COVID-19 vaccine doses become available.

During the county’s weekly virtual COVID-19 media briefing on Wednesday, Office of Emergency Management Director Dr. Earl Stoddard said that although there’s no exact date set yet, he’s confident that the new mass vaccination site will begin operating before April 1- despite recent comments from Gov. Larry Hogan.

“We’re getting great support from the state agency’s across the board,” added Dr. Stoddard during the briefing.
