Council Mulls Expansion of Spirits Economy into Ag Reserve

Breweries have been growing in Montgomery County, but largely in suburban areas such as Rockville or Silver Spring.

The Montgomery County Council is considering new zoning regulations that would extend that growth into the 93,000-acre Ag Reserve.

Council President Hans Riemer talked about the effort at the opening of True Respite, a new brewery opening in a Rockville office park.
