Coronavirus Testing Expands to Two Days a Week at Six Flags America
The Maryland Department of Health set a new record Friday for the most tests at a community-based site. They conducted 1,686 COVID-19 tests at the new Six Flags America site.
Gov. Larry Hogan announced Monday that the state is expanding testing to two days a week at Six Flags America in Upper Marlboro.
State health officials will conduct testing Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tests will be provided at no out-of-pocket cost, and no doctor’s order or appointment is required at this site. Marylanders do not need to exhibit symptoms or suspect exposure to COVID-19 in order to get tested.
As part of our state’s long-term testing strategy, and after the record volume of #COVID19 testing completed Friday at @SixFlagsAmerica, the state is expanding the site’s availability to conduct no-cost, no-appointment testing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays.
