Commission For Women Announces Logo Contest

The Montgomery County Commission For Women encourages residents to take part in their “Create Our New Logo” contest. Submissions will be accepted until September 1, 2020.

According to a July 29 press release, “The Commission is looking for a new logo that gives voice to the work of the Commission, which is to improve and empower the lives of women and girls in Montgomery County through education, outreach, and advocacy. Aimed to support women and give focus to the broad range of women’s rights issues, the new logo will be professional, catchy, colorful, and inspiring.”

Designs should include the full name “Montgomery County Commission For Women.” All designs should be catchy, professional, and target women in the county.

A winner will be recognized at a future Commission meeting. Additionally, the winner should expect their design to be featured on the Commission’s website, social media platforms, printed materials, and clothing.

All county residents are eligible to apply. If the applicant is under the age of 18, a parent/guardian must complete a waiver and submit the design on their child’s behalf. The entry must be the minor’s own work.

Applicants should submit a PNG image of at least 300 pixels as well as a brief explanation of their design. The written portion should not exceed 150 words. Although it is preferred that the entry form is submitted using Google Docs, one may also email: cfwinfo@montgomerycountymd.gov.
