Collision Involving Truck on I-270 Injures Two

Two adults were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries following a collision on Southbound I-270 Friday morning, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer said.

A two-vehicle collision involving a tree-trimming truck occurred just past Muddy Branch Road, Piringer wrote around 7:20 a.m. The truck overturned and the two occupants were trapped but quickly removed.

Four main lanes were temporarily closed past Muddy Branch Road. Three reopened as of about 8:40 a.m., Montgomery County Emergency Management and Homeland Security said. Residents should expect delays as clean-up continues, the office said.
