UPDATED: New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring Reopens

UPDATED 8.3.15, 5:39 p.m.– New Hampshire Avenue at Cannon Road is now open according to the police.

ORIGINAL POST: Montgomery County Police and Fire and Rescue personnel are on the scene of a collision on New Hampshire Avenue and Cannon Road in Silver Spring’s Colesville neighborhood.

Fire and Rescue Services Spokesperson Pete Piringer reported on his Twitter account that two people were trapped and emergency crews are evaluating several traumas.

Police said the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Cannon Road is closed and asked drivers to avoid the area.
