City of Rockville Seeks Nominations for Environmental Excellence Awards

The City of Rockville is seeking nominations for the Environmental Excellence Award for 2016. The award recognizes individuals and organizations that contribute to Rockville’s environmental health and sustainability.

Nominations are being accepted in the following categories until Tuesday, March 1. The awards will be presented in April.

  • Outstanding Individual Environmental Stewardship.
  • Outstanding Leadership in Environmental Practices.
  • Outstanding Achievement in Green Building Technology/Design.
  • Outstanding Environmental Education and Academic Achievement.

Individual nominees must live, work, or study in Rockville to be eligible.  Organizations must have an office in Rockville and be able to demonstrate operations within the city limits. Building projects must be located within the city limits. The awards will be presented to an individual or organization by the Mayor and Council. All nominations and supplemental materials will be received and reviewed by the Environmental Commission.
