Churchill Boys Lacrosse Cage Quince Orchard Cougars 12-2

Giathersburg, Md.: Tuesday, April 23

Churchill Bulldogs Boys lacrosse maintained form after spring break defeating Quince Orchard (QO) 12-2 in league play. Churchill improved to 7-2 for the season.

The ball kept finding the back of the net for Churchill despite the goalie play by QO’s Trey Seminara who had nine saves on the evening.  Seminara was pulled midway in the fourth quarter as QO Senior Ben Shapero stepped in with Churchill holding a commanding lead.

Led by Churchill’s attackman Ryan Shure, his four goals and one assist helped cage the Cougars all evening.  The Bulldogs scored in all quarters with five goals all coming rapidly in the fourth quarter.  Churchill signature is their prowess at winning face-offs.  Last night they won 13 of 15 face-offs.

Quince Orchard will move on to Senior Night where they will face DeMatha at home on Friday.  Meanwhile, Churchill stays on the road going to Rockville to meet Richard Montgomery.  A win will keep alive the Bulldogs hope of winning another 4A Divisional Championship.
