Chef José Andrés to Take Part in the Oscars

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has confirmed that Bethesda’s favorite chef, José Andrés, will play a role in the 2019 Oscars.

A press release posted on The Academy’s website says that Andrés will be one of eleven “recognized talents from various walks of life” who will introduce “the eight Best Picture nominees.”

The films nominated for best picture are “Black Panther,” “BlacKkKlansman,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “The Favourite,” “Green Book,” “Roma,” “A Star Is Born,” and “Vice.”

The Oscars will be broadcast live on ABC on Sunday, February 24 at 8 p.m. This year, the show will be hostless after Kevin Hart dropped out of the gig when old homophobic messages were found on his Twitter account. (There are, however, rumors swirling that we might get a surprise host).
