Celebrating the Hispanic Entrepreneur (Video)

This past Saturday, May 18, the Hispanic Institute on Small Business and Training, part of Montgomery College’s Workforce Development & Continuing Education program, held its 7th Annual Seminar Celebrating the Hispanic Entrepreneur. In attendance were over 60 participants, some that included inspiring entrepreneurs and others looking to gain information on government certifications and how to expand their business by exploring local government contracting opportunities. Liliana Arango, Program Director welcomed Mr. Craig L. Rice, Vice President of the Montgomery County Council, who spoke about how important the Hispanic business community is to the County. He commented on how innovation and creativity drives successful business and makes Montgomery County a success. He encouraged everyone to be supportive, work together and seek support from the small business structures such as the newly established Hispanic Business Center to make sure businesses get the technical support needed to be successful in the county. Celebrando el Empresario Hispano (Video)
El pasado sábado 18 de mayo, el Instituto Hispano de Negocios y Entrenamiento llevó a cabo el taller Celebrando Al Empresario Hispano VII lo cual es auspiciado por el programa de Montgomery College Workforce Development & Continuing Education. Más de 60 personas asistieron al evento, algunos ya con sus negocios establecidos y otros con el deseo de emprender su propio negocio. Se habló de los diferentes tipos de certificación para contratación con el gobierno y las posibilidades de contrato a nivel local. La directora del programa Liliana Arango, le dió la bienvenida al Vice-Presidente del Concilio del Condado de Montgomery, el Señor Craig L. Rice, quien habló sobre la importancia de los empresarios Hispanos para el condado. El enfatizó que la creatividad y la innovación so ingredientes para el triunfo de los negocios y para el condado. El motivó a los participantes que usen los recursos al alcance que hay en el condado para apoyar a las pequeñas empresas como lo es el nuevo Centro Hispano de Negocios del MD SBTDC.
