Catherine Hoggle Remains Incompetent to Stand Trial (VIDEO)

Catherine Hoggle, the 30-year-old mother charged with neglect, obstruction and hindering in the case of her two missing children, remains incompetent to stand trial.

Hoggle appeared in a Rockville district courtroom on Dec. 12 where Judge Margaret Schweitzer set a new competency status hearing for April 3, 2017.

It’s been over two years since siblings Sarah (6) and Jacob (4) Hoggle disappeared from their Clarksburg home in Sept. of 2014.  Catherine Hoggle is the last known person to have seen her two children but she refuses to disclose their whereabouts. She continues to be treated for mental health issues at Clifton T. Perkins state hospital, and she has appeared in court for status hearings numerous times over the past two years.

After Monday’s hearing, defense attorney David Felsen answered some questions about his client and the case outside the courthouse.

Felsen said doctors believe Hoggle’s competency is restorable.

“We will just have to wait and see,” he said.
