Capital Bikeshare Program Extended to June 30

A Capital Bikeshare program that allows essential workers to have access to a free bikeshare membership has been extended to June 30.

Throughout the designated time frame, eligible essential workers can sign up through their employer for access to indefinite 30 minute bike rides.

To enroll, employers must complete a short form. Employers can access the form here.

Once completed, Capital Bikeshare will provide further details for employees to begin.

After employees receive their program code, they can complete the following instructions:

  • Go to and select ‘Join/Log-in’.
  • Sign In (The individual must use the phone number connected with their Capital Bikeshare Account.)
  • Select See Plans under Membership Details.
  • Click on “Essential Worker” link.
  • Enter program code into Discounted Memberships popup

Memberships become active as soon as the individual signs up. Memberships will not auto-renew on June 30. Individuals can choose to purchase a membership after June 30.
