Bus Crashes into Utility Pole; 5 People Hospitalized

Five people were hurt Sunday morning when a Ride On bus crashed into a utility pole on Chevy Chase Circle.
The wreck occurred after the bus collided with an automobile in the circle, then struck the pole, a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said.
The five people, all believed to be passengers on the bus, were taken to local hospitals; others refused medical treatment, the spokeswoman said.
No one appeared to have serious injuries, she said.
A spokeswoman for Ride On said the crash is under investigation.
