Blog: Things are Shakin’ in Germantown

Two former nurses turned small business owners are now whipping up gourmet protein shakes and energy teas in Germantown.

The Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce (GGCC) conducted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and joined MoCo Nutrition LLC to celebrate their grand opening on July 9, 2021. They are located at 19857 Century Boulevard, Unit B in Germantown.

We are so happy to have MoCo Nutrition in Germantown,” said Marilyn Balcombe, GGCC president. “It’s a great store and the shakes are delicious!”

They are a nutrition club open to all and provide protein shakes loaded with plant-based protein, vitamins, and minerals. You can pair them with one of their many tea choices -or get a tea separate – since their tea blends deliver energy, antioxidants, and burn calories. They also have aloe which is great for digestion and immune health.

MoCo Nutrition is the place to gather to learn better eating habits, how to live a healthy active lifestyle and join a community of like-minded individuals. They prepare and serve meal replacement smoothies and energizing teas. As well as providing educational resources and online weight loss challenges. With shakes like strawberry, banana, mango and pineapple or the raspberry, lemon cheesecake, you will not even realize they are packed with nutrients.

Lastly, I coordinate all marketing and communication efforts of the GGCC including weekly email blasts, its quarterly newsletter, all social media platforms, media relations and community outreach.
