African Drum Class Teaches Cultural Lesson

Amadou Kouyate offered free African Manding Drumming Workshops at Montgomery College in Rockville this week. In this class, a cultural lesson comes with each drum beat.

Officials with Montgomery College say this workshop is a part of their World Ensemble which consists of approximately 45 community and student members of diverse ethnic and musical backgrounds who come together to rehearse traditional and contemporary world music.
