Bank Robbery in Gaithersburg (Photos)

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Oct. 25 at a Capital One bank in Gaithersburg.

Police said it happened at approximately 9:11 a.m. at 12 Bureau Drive.

That’s when 6th District officers responded to the Capital One bank for a report of a bank robbery that had just occurred.

According to police, the suspect entered the bank, approached a teller, and presented a note demanding money.

The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the bank, police said.

Detectives have obtained surveillance photos and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.  The suspect is described  by police as a black male, 5’11″ tall, and weighing approximately 240 to 250 pounds.  He was wearing a black hat, a gray zip-up sweatshirt, and gray sweatpants.
