Backpack Journalism Begins Soon! (Photos)

I know I say this a lot, but really, where has the time gone?!  In just over a week, the first session of MCM’s Backpack Journalism Academy begins and there will be brand new backpack journalists hitting the streets.  It seems like yesterday that we were just beginning the new Spring Break Backpack Journalism class.

I am getting really excited about this class. I always have so much fun. The teenagers are so full of energy and enthusiasm.  I would say it begins to rub off.  The stories they will tell is always a surprise and the outlook on the variety of subjects we go over is far from boring. Needless to say this is an awesome class and I am grateful to be a part of it. Michelle Chavez, one of MCM’s Backpack Journalists, had some great comments about this program.  Take a peek at what she had to say HERE.

Are you looking for something for your 7th – 12th grader to do this summer? Then look no further because MCM’s Summer Backpack Journalism Academy is the place to be!  The first session starts on June 17 and there are two more after that. We still have some spaces available in each session. For more information, check out our Backpack Journalism page. To register online go HERE.
