ORIGINAL POST Montgomery County is hosting a community forum for residents on June 8 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the cafeteria of Rocky Hill Middle School to discuss construction of an Upcounty aquatic center and Clarksburg-area community recreation and senior center.
“This will be an important opportunity for Clarksburg and surrounding communities to tell us what they would like in these facilities and I hope that we hear from many of the residents”, said Catherine Matthews, director of the Upcounty Regional Services Center.
“We want to ensure that this regional aquatic center and Clarksburg-area community recreation and senior center meets the needs of our residents,” said Recreation Director Gabe Albornoz. “We encourage everyone to come out and let us know what they want and need from the new center.”
Montgomery County has a process for evaluating information as it develops its Capital Improvements Program for future years. In order to formally propose a project for approval, the project must be both well described and cost-estimated. This community forum is the earliest preliminary step in developing the project description.
