Apartment Building Fire in Aspen Hill
Montgomery County firefighters were called to the scene of a garden-style apartment building fire at 3:20 a.m. at 3744 Bel Pre Road in Aspen Hill on April 23.
Battalion Chief Jim Resnick said the call was for the report of smoke in an apartment. Once on scene, he said firefighters found a fire in a storage room on the terrace level. He said the sprinkler system kept the fire in check and there were no injuries.
According to Resnick, there is a significant amount of smoke in the building and the occupants have been temporarily evacuated until the smoke clears out.
Fire investigators have been called to investigate the cause and origin of the fire. So far, no word on the extent of damage.
When the alarm sprinkler system in our office building needed updating and an inspection, I had trouble finding a professional firm, but eventually found Premier Fire Alarms on the internet, they provide 24 hour service and these guys went to the extreme to get the job done.
