Ananya Tadikonda Sworn in as New Student Member of the Board
Ananya Tadikonda, a senior at Richard Montgomery High School, was sworn in as the 41st Student Member of the Board during the Montgomery County Board of Education’s meeting Monday evening.
Tadikonda was elected to serve a one-year term on the Board by middle and high school students of Montgomery County Public Schools. She is the 11th female to be elected, and the third student member to have voting power.
She succeeds Matt Post, a 2018 graduate of Sherwood High School, who is headed to Yale this fall.
