Although County is Making Significant Progress, No Reopening Date Announced Yet

The question a lot of residents want to know is when Montgomery County will start to lift COVID-19 restrictions? Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and county Health Officer Dr. Travis Gayles have not announced an exact date yet. They say they’re following science and looking at data to make decisions regarding reopening, and things seem to be improving.

During a media briefing on Wednesday, both Gayles and Elrich explained where the county stands when it comes to reopening and the different baselines that are in place to ensure everyone’s safety during the coronavirus pandemic.
