African American Health Program Community Day Planned for April 16
In celebration of National Minority Health Month, Montgomery County’s African-American Health Program (AAHP) will host it’s 3rd Annual Community Day in Silver Spring. The event is set to take place on April 16 and will have a full line up of activities for members of the community.
Activities include, a 5K walk and run, healthy food clinics and on-site health screenings. The event is free and open to the public.
The AAHP aims to educate and provide access to resources and services that promote health and well being for African-Americans and people of African descent in Montgomery County.
The 3rd Annual Community Day will take place from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m at Argyle Middle School, which is located at 2400 Bel Pre Road. For more information visit the AAHP website.
