African Affairs Advisory Group Launches Mental Health Awareness Campaign (VIDEO)

The African Affairs Advisory Group has launched a Mental Health Awareness campaign this month.

Harriett Shangarai, chair of the African Affairs Advisory Group, said mental health is an important topic.

“We see a lot of issues in our community that have not been addressed,” said Shangarai, who added that she hopes the campaign launches a dialogue in the community among neighbors and friends as well as families.

“I would like for us to break this taboo of silence,” she said.
