Virtual College Conversation Aims to Connect Students of Color to Top Colleges

MCPS and the NAACP Parents’ Council hosts a virtual college conversation on Thursday, Aug. 5 from 6-8 p.m. This event aims to connect rising high school seniors of color to top colleges.

The virtual conversation recognizes the unique challenges students of color face during the college admissions process. Attendees will have exposure to more selective universities and learn what  schools could be a better fit for their abilities and offer greater financial aid.

Students and families will have the opportunity to talk one-on-one with admissions recruiters in a small interactive environment.

MyMCM spoke with Nora Morales, Program Director at Identity, about the upcoming event.
