71st Annual MoCo AgFair – A Blue Ribbon Affair

It is the 71st annual Agricultural Fair in Montgomery County. Gaithersburg is home to this latest version of the Maryland country side meeting it’s urban cousin.  Pig races, fashion shows, the Queen and her court, dogs jumping and carousel rides converge for nine hot summer days within earshot of 1-270.  The crowds come for the entertainment, the midway food and the 4-H competition.

The sites and sounds of this uniquely American exposition of agricultural festivities continues in Gaithersburg through midnight Sunday, August 17th.  Photos of the first days of the Fair follow.
