UPDATE: Woman Struck on Tuckerman Lane Dies From Injuries

UPDATE (July 24): Police announced Wednesday afternoon that 31-year-old Jennifer Dimauro of North Bethesda has died from injuries she sustained after she was struck by a car while crossing Tuckerman Lane at Kings Riding Way on Saturday.

Upon hearing the news, Councilmember Andrew Friedson took to Twitter, calling for more aggressive action in designing roadways.

Friedson said he’s contacted Montgomery County Department of Transportation to request “engineering changes on this stretch of Tuckerman Lane.”

ORIGINAL POST (July 22): A motorist hit a woman Saturday morning trying to cross Tuckerman Lane in North Bethesda, a Montgomery County police statement said.

The two collided about 10 a.m. at Kings Riding Way, police said.

Police said the preliminary investigation showed a 2015 Chevrolet Spark, eastbound on Tuckerman Lane approaching Kings Riding Way, hit the 31-year-old woman, who was trying to cross Tuckerman Lane at Kings Riding Way.

The woman was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police identified the driver of the Spark as Chase Lawrence Dobler, 27, of Corporate Boulevard in Rockville; he was not injured.

This incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.
