Residents Sound Off on Montgomery Police Commission

Residents gave their points of view on a proposed policing advisory commission Tuesday night.

Torrie Cooke, president of the Fraternal Order of Police, said the commission could help bring the public and police together.

Carlean Ponder, a member of the American Civil Liberties Union, believed the FOP had enough influence at the county and state level that it didn’t need to be a part of the commission.
