Man Faces Murder Charges For Stabbing Person in Silver Spring Parking Lot

 Update, May 17:

Montgomery County police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide that left a man dead in Silver Spring.

Police say Oscar Danilo Manzano-Mora, 23, faces charges of first-degree murder for allegedly killing Edras Armando Munoz on May 8.

According to police, after a dispute in a parking lot outside of a shopping center on Piney Branch Road, Manzano-Mora stabbed Munoz. Responding officers found Munoz suffering from the stab wounds in the parking lot.

After Munoz was taken to a nearby hospital, police say he died from his injuries.

Police say this incident is still being investigated as a homicide and anyone with additional information should contact the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070.

Man Dies After ‘Dispute’ Outside Silver Spring Shopping Center

Montgomery County detectives from the Major Crimes Division are investigating a homicide that left a man dead in Silver Spring on Wednesday night.

Officers from the Silver Spring district, as well as Montgomery County Fire & Rescue personnel, responded to calls at 10:55 p.m. on Wednesday night about “a dispute” that occurred in the parking lot of the shopping center located at 8528 Piney Branch Road.

According to police, upon arriving at the scene, officers found a man “suffering from apparent trauma to his body.” The man was taken to a nearby hospital and police say that he died from his injuries.

The man who died has been identified by police as 30-year-old Edras Armando Munoz. Police could not confirm where Munoz’s address.
