Takoma Park Police Investigating Sex Assault
Takoma Park police are investigating a sexual assault that took place Saturday in the 7700 block of Carroll Avenue, a police statement said.
A 46-year-old woman was passing out brochures near Carroll and Flower avenues when she was approached by and assaulted by a man, police said.
He grabbed her and made physical sexual advances toward her, police said. The victim fought against the man and was able to break free and flee. The man also fled southbound on Carroll Avenue toward Long Branch Parkway, police said.
The man was described as about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, thin build, with short black hair, police said. He was last seen wearing tennis shoes, a red shirt and was wearing white ear buds.
