Five Things to Know for April 13 in Montgomery County

Here are five things to know for Friday, April 13, in Montgomery County:

1. Senior Forum and resource fair: Montgomery County Councilmember Sidney Katz hosts a senior forum and resource fair at the Bauer Drive Community Recreation Center from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

2. Leonard Bernstein at 100 concert: Pianist and composer Michael Brown performs a solo recital of Leonard Bernstein’s music at the Mansion at Strathmore.

3. Summer Camp Fair: Gaithersburg’s Summer Camp Registration Fair will be held April 13 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 506 South Frederick Avenue.

4. Bethesda Library Ribbon Cutting & Dedication: Saturday, April 14, County Executive Ike Leggett and other officials will celebrate the renaming and grand reopening of the Bethesda Library. The library will be renamed for Connie Morella, who represented Maryland’s 8th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives from 1987 to 2003.

5. Citizenship & Legal Immigration Fair: County Executive Ike Leggett will address recent federal decisions affecting Temporary Protection Status and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. Citizenship and legal immigration advisers will be available to counsel residents interested in becoming a citizen. The fair takes place Saturday, April 14 from 12:30 – 4 p.m. at Montgomery Blair High School, 51 University Boulevard East, Silver Spring
