Secret to Creating $1 Million
According to Einstein, what is the most powerful force in the universe? The power of compounding. We see that at work with Katie and Haley’s retirement savings.
Meet Katie
Katie is a recent prospective client of our firm. She is just 25 years old, and already seeking out a financial planner. She’s been working for three years with Marriott, after graduating from University of Maryland. I was so excited for her. She has the power to make small changes now, which will have a significant positive impact to her future self.
Based on her current IRA contributions, her retirement savings will run out at age 87. Eek! But if she increases her 401(k) contributions by 5% points, she will have close to $1,000,000 left by age 90! We can see Katie’s future self telling to Katie now: You’re the best!!!
Meet Haley
Haley is one of my latest clients who is the same age as Katie (25). She is super interested in learning all about personal finance. She’s a graphic designer, and she even made a beautiful template on which she was taking notes during our discussion.
She is contributing 6% to her 401(k) and receives a 3.5% match. At this rate, her assets will be practically depleted at 80. But if she contributes $5,500 per year to a Roth IRA, she will have close to $1,000,000 left by age 90!
This is the power of financial planning. The power of starting early. The power of investing in a tax-efficient manner. Schedule a free discovery call with us to learn more.
