Pedestrian Struck, Killed on Shady Grove Road

A 19-year-old crossing Shady Grove Road was struck and killed Saturday morning, Montgomery County police said.

Jaumoithe Houseal of Welbeck Road in Montgomery Village was crossing Shady Grove Road at Crabbs Branch Way about 2:30 a.m., according to a police statement.

He was taken to Suburban Hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.

Police said a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling westbound on Shady Grove Road and struck Houseal on Shady Grove Road in the area of Crabbs Branch Way. The driver, Carlos Marco Montano, 50, of Carousel Court in Gaithersburg, remained on the scene and provided information to investigators, police said.
