Police Believe Same People Tried to Burgle Two Businesses (VIDEO)

Detectives believe the same people threw rocks to break the glass doors of two businesses — one in Gaithersburg and the other in Derwood — in incidents that occurred the same night last month, Montgomery County police said.

About 2:50 a.m. Saturday, March 4, the alarm sounded at the Flower Hill Beer store at 18253 Flower Hill Way, Gaithersburg, according to a police statement.  Officers arrived at the business and saw a rock that had been used to break out the glass to the front door of the business.  Officers determined that the suspects did not gain entry into the business, police said.

At 3 a.m. the same night, the alarm sounded at the European Market store at 17605 Redland Road, Derwood. Officers arrived at the store and discovered that again a rock had been used to break out the glass to the front door of the business, police said.

The surveillance video being released shows the two burglars outside the European Market before they committed the burglary.

Anyone who recognizes the people or has information about these incidents is asked to call police at 240-773-5770. To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or enter a tip online.
