Thief Walks Off with Designer Shoes from Rockville Store
A thief took a pair of designer shoes, according to this week’s Rockville Police crime summary.
The theft occurred March 21 in the 1600 block of Rockville Pike. The complainant reported a person, who entered the business between 1:25 p.m. and 1:33 p.m., walked directly to the men’s shoe department.
The person removed a pair of designer shoes from a box and placed them into a bag, the summary says.
The thief then left the store without paying for the item, according to the summary.
The thief is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 175 pounds, medium build, medium skin tone and last seen wearing blue jeans, black jacket and a yellow/green Green Bay baseball cap.
Arrests
On March 22 between 12:35 a.m. and 1:15 a.m., a 33-year-old man was arrested for malicious destruction of property and disorderly conduct, after an incident that occurred in the 16000 block of Shady Grove Road.
Incidents
400 block of College Parkway, someone gained entry through an unsecured basement window, at a vacant apartment between March 16 and March 18. Nothing was taken.
Unit block of Maryland Avenue, the complainant reported that someone entered the business on March 21 between 8:15 a.m. and 8:35 a.m. Once inside, the person walked up to the counter, removed a tip jar containing cash and then left the business. The person is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 200 pounds, muscular build, brown eyes, black dreadlocks/twists, mustache, facial stubble, dark brown skin tone and last seen wearing black baggie cargo-style pants and black hooded sweatshirt.
200 block of Richard Montgomery Drive, the complainant reported that someone removed a cell phone from an unlocked locker on March 21 between 1:45 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
1100 block of Higgins Place, the complainant reported that someone removed a laptop from an unlocked vehicle between 6:30 p.m. March 22 and 3 p.m. March 23.
